Do I need a referral?
We do not require a referral for you to be seen. However, your insurance plan may require you
to have a referral. Call your insurance company to verify your plan.
Do you accept walk-ins, have weekend or evening appointments available?
No. Clinic hours vary Monday – Friday. Please call one of our three locations and we will be
happy to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
Will my insurance cover treatments?
Most insurance plans cover Infrared Coagulation (IRC) and other services provided by Midwest
Hemorrhoid Treatment Center. Services may consist of a co-pay, apply to deductible or
coinsurance. Please contact your insurance company for more information.
What is Coinsurance?
Coinsurance is your share of the costs of a health care service. It's usually figured
as a percentage of the amount we allow to be charged for services. You start
paying coinsurance after you've paid your plan's deductible.
What is a Deductible?
A deductible is the amount you pay for health care services before your health
insurance begins to pay.
What is a Copay?
A copay is a fixed amount you pay for a health care service, usually when you
receive the service. The amount can vary by the type of service. You may also
have a copay when you get a prescription filled.
If your insurance requires you to pay a copay, you will need to bring a copay with
you to each office visit.
The copay may be listed on your insurance card.
What do I bring with me to my office visit(s):
If you do not have these, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment(s).
What should I expect on the 1st visit:
Fill out paperwork
Consultation with the physician
If possible, we try to treat same day
Some procedures require more than one treatment
How do I know what type of treatment I need?
You will need to schedule an office visit and come in for a consultation and exam to be
evaluated for your best treatment options. If possible, we try to treat same day.
